Why can't I skip around to different lessons?

Skipping between lessons is restricted because our curriculum is designed to build skills progressively. Each lesson builds upon the previous one, ensuring a strong foundation in reading. If your child has pre-existing skills, you can opt to take a placement assessment any time before Lesson 4. This assessment will help determine the appropriate starting point in the curriculum for your child, ensuring that the material aligns with your child's skill level.

If your child finds the lessons too easy, there's flexibility in the pace of learning. Feel free to complete multiple lessons per day until the difficulty level matches your child's abilities. We recommend aiming for 3-5 lessons per week to maintain a consistent learning schedule.

The best ways to reinforce new skills and enhance reading fluency is to consider these strategies:

  • Reread unlocked books to practice and build confidence.
  • Engage in our interactive games and printable activities to reinforce the skills recently covered in lessons.
  • Repeat lessons as necessary to solidify new skills.

We understand that every learner is unique, and our goal is to provide a structured yet adaptable learning environment for teachers, parents, and students. By following our curriculum and employing these strategies, you can ensure a well-rounded reading journey that suits your child's individual needs and pace.
